  • No compulsive non-stop barkers.  All dogs bark when new guests come in as well as during play time.  This is expected.  However, dogs that are so anxious and nervous that they can only get relief through barking consistently is not a good fit.  It isn't a good situation for them, our other guests or us.  We strive to keep our facility as relaxing and fun as possible.
  • Guests too young to have completed their vaccination series including Rabies will not be allowed for their protection and ours.
  • Guests showing signs of illness or parasites (at the discretion of the facility owner to protect the safety of our other guests) will not be allowed.

Appointments:
As part of our low stress environment we operate strictly by appointment only. We ask that you abide by your set appointment times. Keeping your appointment time is critical in our stress free,  gradual entry process. We tuck away other dogs when a new guest arrives.  We give the incoming dog a chance to explore, sniff, get familiar with the place, and settle in, then we start our one on one introductions with other dogs.  Gradual entry is an essential part of our facility and helps to insure a harmonious group and enjoyable stay. We implement a stress free exit as well. We again ask that you arrive at your appointment time to allow for a peaceful exit process. We migrate your dog out of the group and prepare for your arrival.  The other guests will again be tucked away so that no other dogs are competing for the attention your dog will be excited to get from you. We understand that situations arise from time to time that changes need to be made to a set appointment.  In such cases, please notify us as soon as possible so we can make adjustments on our end.

  • Rabies (Dogs and Cats)
    Distemper/Parvo (Dogs)
    Kennel Cough / Bordetella (Dogs)
    FVRCP (Cats)
  • Both the New Customer Application Form and Boarding Contract filled out.  Links are provided below to help expedite the check-in process.  We are also happy to email or mail them to you in advance.

Final Notes:

  • We implemented an online booking system in 2022 for your convenience.  However, it is only available to our current customers.  Once your pet has stayed with us or been approved through the application process and/or meet and greet, you will have full access to the online features.
  • Collars:  We often remove collars for the safety of the dogs as they are playing.  We also have customers with tracking devices attached to the collars so this prevents damage to the device and another dog if it comes off during play and is ingested.
  • We require the Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine. However it does not prevent all strains of the virus and/or canine influenza.  We use disinfectants on beds, bowls and kennel floors.  Will immediately isolate any pup showing symptoms and reach out to owner for someone to pick up.   Think of it like kids going to daycare/school, the best prevention is keeping them home if they don't feel good but occasionally regardless of our best intentions someone may come down with an upper respiratory  "bug".  Understand that this is the risk of dogs interacting and playing with each other.  See link explaining the Bordetella virus, vaccine and risk involved.  Bordetella (kennel cough) or consult with your personal veterinarian.
  • A run down of our schedule on a daily basis involves dogs going outside around 6:00 am.  They come in and have breakfast with a short potty break afterwards.  They rest for a bit after breakfast and then our day progresses with several play sessions out in the yard.  The pups stay busy for most of the day with the exception of an hour long break mid day usually around noon when everyone is kenneled and the lights turned off for nap time.   They spend the rest of the afternoon playing with others until dinner time around 5-5:30.  They go outside for a final potty break between 8-9pm before settling for the night.  Overhead lights are off with a few lamps left on and the radio playing in the background on one end of the building and tv on the other end.

When you arrive, you are welcome to walk your dog around on a leash outside the building but please do not let them out of your vehicle to have free run of our property.  In addition to the kennel, we keep a herd of Registered Boer goats protected by livestock guardian dogs.  Your dog(s) running freely may result in them chasing the goats and upsetting the working dogs trained to protect them.  Sadly this has happened more than once with owners not being able to call their dogs away from the goats.  Once they find the goats will run when chased it becomes a game and hard to get control of; therefore prevention is our best option.  Thank you in advance for your understanding.
