Silver Paws Lodge is located just outside the quaint farming community of Genesee Idaho on the beautiful Palouse. We are 15 miles north of the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley and 15 miles south of the Moscow/Pullman area. The lodge is owned and operated by Tammy and Rollie Thomason. Our home is located on the property so all guests have the security of an onsite caretaker. We are owned by three very sophisticated standard poodles, Bristol, Gus and Reagan. Our matriarch, Bristol started the formation of Silver Paws with her "I am too good for a kennel" attitude and I have to admit; we kind of feel she is too! After all she is use to being pampered and having those around her waiting on her hand and paw so how could we stoop to a level of putting her in a pen for several hours a day with limited powder room breaks and a hard surface to sleep on?!? The sound of constant bickering of dogs (when she is much more than JUST a dog). She is a social lady and enjoys her time with the girls but at night she prefers her quiet time, preferably on the deck or veranda. A gourmet bedtime biscuit and then a nice comfy bed. Is it too much for a girl to ask for? It appeared so, as when we ask for such services for our Queen at check in of other facilities and got the "you have got to be kidding me!?!" look. And so we have opened Silver Paws Lodge to give all our Kings and Queens and Princesses too, the experience of staying at a Country B&B while their owners are away for business or pleasure.

Meet the Owners/Lodge Hosts
Tammy Thomason has been around livestock of all kinds the majority of her life. In addition, she has raised retrievers, spaniels and hounds with experience in the training/hunting and AKC conformation shows. She has worked as a veterinarian technician for a local vet clinic and owned and operated a dog grooming salon in Orofino and Lewiston. Now living her dream of a country lifestyle and small hobby farm on the Palouse she brings her knowledge into this new endeavor of opening Silver Paws Lodge and couldn't be more excited to extend her care and compassion to your loved ones.
Rollie Thomason is a Palouse transplant from the Prairie, Craigmont to be exact. After joining the team at Stonebraker McQuary Insurance Agency and becoming the Director of Agri-Business for Stonebraker and working out of the Genesee office it was decided he would become a permanent residence of this great Community. When not working at the office or out in the field he is running around maintaining the grounds and the never ending repair jobs around the property to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
